Spring is here!! -
Baby pygmy goat 'Izzy star' born Feb. 8th.
On the farm we have found ourselves plummeted into the baby season, with the return of disturbed nights, late night bottle-feeds, orphans in the kitchen and lots of expressions of 'ahhhhh' and other such cuteness alongside fatigue and weariness!
As we are sure you are all aware...Ellie is also due soon.this may have happened by the time you read the next newsletter as her official date is 3rd of April.
We will be posting dates and times of barn tours and a chance to see the baby kids in the nursery on the farm shop doors soon.
Apologies for the temporary loss of our help yourself frozen fruits and pastries freezer...it died on us! - We do still hold all of your favourite stock from this freezer but it is out of sight in the store freezer out the back...please ask and we will bring out for you your chosen selection.
Please note our chiller unit which is now devoted solely to a good selection of fresh and wherever possible local fruit and vegetables.
Frozen soft goats cheese can be found in the 'goat-freezer' behind the coffee bar.

Local meat helps with food miles campaign
Help local farmers and reduce the food miles that your meat has travelled and the carbon emissions used to get it to you by buying from us.
Just think if you buy New Zealand lamb it has had to travel by lorry from its farm to an international airport in New Zealand then by plane to Heathrow by refrigerated lorry to a distribution centre in the UK and then by lorry again to the shop where you bought it – probably some 13,000 miles before you take it home to cook it.
